Meet Dr. June Stevens, ND
Dr. June Stevens founded NOR CAL Natural Medicine and Dr. June’s Natural Solutions with a vision to empower and educate patients by offering alternative healthcare options that are personalized to their needs. She brings a diverse background to this practice and continues to inform her patient care philosophy with ongoing research in the fields of naturopathic medicine, environmental medicine, epigenetics, cardiology, and women’s health.
From the U.S. Navy to Advanced Fellowship in Functional Medicine
Dr. Stevens is proud to have served as a critical care nurse in the U.S. Navy. She retired as a Commander following 23 years of service and has provided care for both the military and civilian population for more than 30 years. In addition to a Master’s degree in Metabolic Nutrition from the University of South Florida and a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Southern Maine, Dr. Stevens received her Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine from the Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine. This led her to residency at Southwest Naturopathic Medical Center in Scottsdale, where she grew her interest in cardiology and women’s health. Additionally, she’s since completed an Advanced Fellowship Program in Anti-Aging and Functional Medicine.

A Commitment to Excellence in Private Practice
Prior to founding NOR CAL Natural Medicine, Dr. Stevens was the founder and medical director of the Naturopathic Heart Institute of Tucson. In both practices, Dr. Stevens has emphasized a blended approach of naturopathic and conventional medicine to achieve an exceptional, personalized care experience for every patient she treats. She aims to help patients reduce their reliance on pharmaceutical drug therapies and supplement their existing healthcare utilizing such modalities as:
- Clinical nutrition and specialty digestive health testing
- Detoxification programs
- Chelation therapy
- Botanical medicine
- Bioidentical hormone replacement therapy
- Environmental medicine
- Mind/body medicine
Community Outreach and Education
Dr. Stevens truly believes in the efficacy of naturopathic medicine, particularly the power of managing one’s wellness through a healthy, balanced lifestyle. To that end, she has delivered many public lectures at medical conferences, symposiums, and community venues on topics related to integrative and naturopathic medicine. She has also been an adjunct professor at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine and delivered lectures at the University of Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine as well as locally at Shasta College. Her clinical research is evaluating the short- and long-term effects of implementing plant-based nutrition, lifestyle modification, and detoxification therapies on reversing endothelial dysfunction for the prevention and treatment of cardiovascular disease. In addition, Dr. Stevens was a contributing author for the book Prescription for Nutritional Healing 4th Ed. and is currently completing her own book, What In The Gut Is Going On?, as the first installation of her Naturopathic Wisdom series.
